First Class Leisure will not compromise safety or put profit before health. When restrictions are lifted and the government say its safe, we will be back to offer our SAFE HIRE service, to all our lovely customers. We will continue to provide the best service, with lots of NEW bouncy castles and inflatables which are all clean, safety tested and have NOT been used in these times.
You may wonder why other companies are still delivering bouncy castles and wonder why First Class Leisure are not, yes we are also wondering this too, especially when these companies are not wearing full PPE, obviously their safety standards are not as high as our company or perhaps they think they have magical powers to avoid the virus.
The ‘Stay at Home’ policy has obviously been implemented to stop the spread of the Coronavirus and reduce the risk of infection to staff and customers in accordance with the Government’s ‘Stay at Home’ policy.
PIPA Covid-19 Guideline (PIPA currently test our inflatables): We advise that hiring bouncy castles/inflatables should not take place as it is not possible to guarantee the sterilisation of the device before and after each hire.
BIHA (British Inflatable Hirers Alliance) Covid-19 Guideline (BIHA member): We still strongly recommend that you try to refrain from hiring during this crisis when the Government have asked us to stay in lockdown and quarantine and only go out if it’s essential.
THINK SAFETY FIRST!
ONCE RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED THE FIRST CLASS LEISURE TEAM WILL BE BACK HIRING LOTS OF CLEAN BOUNCY CASTLES, WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN HIRED OUT, WHILST WE HAVE BEEN IN LOCK DOWN.
If any company is saying different to the above, and hiring equipment, then be careful and always ask to see the following:
Current Inflatable test certificate PIPA/OTHER
Electrics PAT test certificate
Risk assessment
Action plan for their delivery/collection
PPE plan (see below)
Proof of cleaning and the cleaning materials used
Last time the equipment was hired
Last time the van was cleaned
Most important, are they Covid-19 clear
Full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) - This consists of full disposable overalls, gloves, mask and goggles and shoe protection, not previously worn on the booking before. Always ask to see the current safety test certificate on the equipment!
Any company offering long hire periods for silly prices, please be aware.
WIND SPEEDS: No Inflatable should be used in wind speeds above 24mph, the wind speeds change daily, how does the company ensure the inflatable will be ok for the whole hire period, have you been left with a wind speed checker?
PEGS: Whilst on long hire, have the Inflatable pegs moved or become loose, pegs need to be checked when in use, checked daily and throughout the hire period, to ensure the inflatable is secure.
ELECTRICS: Are the correct outdoor electrics/extensions being used, do they have waterproof connections, a standard house plug electrical extension cable should not be used for outdoor hire. Are the electrics PAT tested, showing a safety test sticker on the socket. Simple rule, NO PAT test, then DO NOT hire.
Avoid the cowboy companies!
Please be safe and only book equipment with a professional company!
