Coronavirus restrictions remain in place across England

From 17th May 2021:
Gathering limits have been eased.

Outdoor gatherings are limited to 30 people
Indoor gatherings are limited to 6 people or 2 households.

Government guidance remains that you should stay 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings) if you cannot stay 2 metres apart. You will be encouraged to exercise caution and consider the risks.

It is now your own personal responsibility, you are encouraged to exercise caution and consider the guidance and risks associated with covid-19 and actions you can take to help keep you and your loved ones safe.

You must not interact with anyone outside of your own group (of 30 people outdoors or six people indoors).

Keep a safe distance (social distancing)

Stay at least 2 metres away from people you do not live with or who are not in your support bubble

Reduce the time spent in crowded areas where it may be difficult to socially distance (such as shops and supermarkets)

Avoid direct contact and face to face contact with people you do not live with

Remember that the risks of close contact may be greater for some people than others and in some settings and circumstances.

Funerals: Funeral attendance is no longer be limited to 30 people, but will be determined by how many people the COVID-secure venue can safely accommodate with social distancing.

Weddings & Wakes: Limits at weddings, wakes and other commemorative events have been increased to 30 people.

This is our policy at present and still continues. Information taken from the .gov.uk website 29th March 2021

From 29th March 2021: Only socialise indoors with people you live with or who are in your support bubble. Up to 6 people or 2 households can meet outside.

You must not socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have formed a support bubble with.

You can meet outdoors either in a group of 6 (from any number of households), or in a group of any size from up to 2 households (a household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible)

You should stay 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings) if you cannot stay 2 metres apart.

You must not socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have formed a support bubble with.
You can meet outdoors either in a group of 6 (from any number of households), or in a group of any size from up to 2 households (a household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible). You should stay 2 metres apart from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings) if you cannot stay 2 metres apart.

Meeting family and friends indoors

You must not meet indoors with anybody you do not live with or have formed a support bubble with (if you are eligible), or another legal exemption applies.

Meeting friends and family outdoors (rule of 6)

You can meet up outdoors with friends and family you do not live with, either:

  • in a group of up to 6 from any number of households (children of all ages count towards the limit of 6)
  • in a group of any size from up to two households (each household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible)

If you’re in a support bubble

If you are eligible to form a support bubble, you and your support bubble count as one household towards the limit of 2 households when meeting others outdoors. This means, for example, that you and your support bubble can meet with another household, even if the group is more than 6 people.

Where you can meet

You can meet in a group of 6 or a larger group of any size from up to 2 households (including their support bubbles) outdoors. This includes private outdoor spaces, such as gardens, and other outdoor public places and venues that remain open. These include the following:

  • parks, beaches, countryside accessible to the public, forests
  • public and botanical gardens
  • the grounds of a heritage site
  • outdoor sculpture parks
  • allotments
  • public playgrounds
  • outdoor sports venues and facilities

If you need to enter through a house to get to a garden or other outside space and there is no alternative access, you should wear a face covering, wash or sanitise your hands when entering, and then go straight to the outside space. If you need to use the bathroom, wash your hands thoroughly and go back outside immediately. You should maintain social distancing from anyone who is not in your household or support bubble.

When you can meet with more people or meet indoors

Gatherings above the limit of 6 people or 2 households, or gatherings indoors, can only take place if they are permitted by an exception. These exceptions are listed on this page.

Where a group includes someone covered by an exception (for example, someone who is working or volunteering), they are not generally counted as part of the gatherings limit. This means, for example, a tradesperson can go into a household without breaking the limit if they are there for work, and the officiant at a wedding would not count towards the limit.

Support and childcare bubbles

You have to meet certain eligibility rules to form a support or childcare bubble. This means not everyone will be able to form a bubble. See the separate guidance on support bubbles and childcare bubbles.

You can only use a childcare bubble for childcare. You cannot use a childcare bubble to mix with another household for any other reason. This means you cannot use a childcare bubble to meet socially with another household.

Funerals and linked commemorative events

Funerals are allowed with limits on attendance, and must only take place in COVID-secure venues or in public outdoor places. Funerals can be attended by a maximum of 30 people and may take place indoors. Linked religious, belief-based or commemorative events, such as wakes, stone settings and ash scatterings can also continue with up to 6 people in attendance.

Weddings and civil partnership ceremonies and receptions

Weddings and civil partnership ceremonies must only take place with up to 6 people. Anyone working is not counted in this limit. Social distancing should be maintained between people who do not live together or share a support bubble.

Wedding or civil partnership ceremonies can take place in licensed venues that are not expressly required to close under the COVID-19 regulations, in some venues that are only partially closed, and in venues that are permitted to open for the purposes of providing unrestricted services. Indoor hospitality venues must remain closed. There is guidance for small marriages and civil partnerships.

Any wedding reception or civil partnership celebration following the event must adhere to social contact limits. This means you cannot socialise indoors with anyone you do not live with or have formed a support bubble with. However, small gatherings can take place outdoors in a group of six, or 2 households (a household can include an existing support bubble, if eligible).

If you break the rules - IMPORTANT

The police can take action against you if you meet in larger groups. This includes breaking up illegal gatherings and issuing fines (fixed penalty notices). You can be given a Fixed Penalty Notice of £200 for the first offence, doubling for further offences up to a maximum of £6,400. You can be fined £800 if you attend a private indoor gathering such as a house party of over 15 people from outside your household, which will double for each repeat offence to a maximum level of £6,400. If you hold, or are involved in holding, an illegal gathering of over 30 people, the police can issue fines of £10,000. Our company will not be liable for any hirer/person breaking covid rules. The hirer fully understands all covid regulations when booking any equipment/services from our company and agrees to abide by all covid regulations in place at the time of their event. The hirer is fully aware that covid restrictions are THEIR responsibility and ALL fines will be payable by the hirer.

Covid Regulations are there for keeping yourself and others safe.

The above are the steps that we are taking to keep our customers, their children and our staff safe. However, we will continue to monitor and follow Government advice and if anything changes then we will update our guidelines in accordance with new advice. We want to reassure our customers that we are taking every precaution to maintain a hygienic and safe environment.

Roadmap out of lockdown

This is our policy at present and still continues.
Information taken from the .gov.uk website 4th January 2021

National Lockdown - You must stay at home. The single most important action we can all take is to stay at home to protect the NHS and save lives.

Meeting others:
You cannot leave your home to meet socially with anyone you do not live with or are not in a support bubble with (if you are legally permitted to form one). You may exercise on your own, with one other person, or with your household or support bubble. This should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area. You cannot meet other people you do not live with, or have not formed a support bubble with, unless for a permitted reason. Stay 2 metres apart from anyone not in your household

Leaving home:
You must NOT leave, or be outside of your home except where necessary. You may leave the home to: Shop for basic necessities, for you or a vulnerable person. Go to work, or provide voluntary or charitable services, if you cannot reasonably do so from home. Exercise with your household (or support bubble) or one other person, this should be limited to once per day, and you should not travel outside your local area. Meet your support bubble or childcare bubble where necessary, but only if you are legally permitted to form one. Seek medical assistance or avoid injury, illness or risk of harm (including domestic abuse). Attend education or childcare - for those eligible

If you do leave home for a permitted reason, you should always stay local - unless it is necessary to go further, for example to go to work. Stay local means stay in the village, town, or part of the city where you live.

If you are clinically extremely vulnerable you should only go out for medical appointments, exercise or if it is essential. You should not attend work

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CHECK THE .GOV WEBSITE FOR LATEST ADVICE AND GOVERNMENT CHANGES. Our website is for guidance only.

Information taken from the
.gov.uk website 31st October 2020

New national coronavirus restrictions apply nationally from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December.

You must: Stay at home, as much as possible and only leave for a limited number of reasons such as education, exercise and recreation or to shop for essentials. You must: Avoid meeting people you do not live with, except for specific purposes.

You should not: You should not mix with other people indoors or in private gardens, unless they are part of your household or your care or support bubble.

You Can: You can continue to exercise or visit outdoor public places with the people you live with or your support bubble or, when you are on your own, with one person from another household.

In general: You must not meet with another person socially or undertake any activities with another person. However, you can exercise or meet in a public, outdoors space with people you live with, your support bubble (or as part of a childcare bubble), or with one other person.

Information taken from the .gov.uk website 14th September 2020

From Monday 14 September, you must not meet with people from other households socially in groups of more than 6
. This will apply indoors and outdoors, including in private homes. This change will simplify and clarify the rules on social gatherings, so they are easier to understand and easier for the police to enforce. There will be a limited number of exemptions. COVID-19 Secure venues, such as places of worship, restaurants and hospitality venues, can still host larger numbers in total but groups of up to 6 must not mix or form larger groups. This rule will not apply to individual households or support bubbles of more than 6 who will still be able to gather together.

Seeing friends and family

When seeing friends and family you do not live with you should:

  • meet in groups of 6 or less
  • follow social distancing rules
  • limit how many different people you see socially over a short period of time
  • meet people outdoors where practical: meeting people outdoors is safer than meeting people indoors because fresh air provides better ventilatio

Can I visit people indoors? Yes

There is a legal limit on the number of people you don’t live with you are able to meet. When meeting with people you don’t live with you can socialise in groups of up to 6. You should continue to maintain social distancing with anyone you do not live with.

How many people am I allowed to meet with outdoors?

When meeting with people you don’t live with (or have formed a support bubble with) you can socialise in groups of up to 6. You should continue to maintain social distancing with anyone you do not live with. There is further guidance on meeting with others safely, which includes details of exemptions from this limit, including for larger households and support bubbles.

Are children counted in the group of 6? Yes

Weddings - Can weddings go ahead?

Yes, Wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships and receptions (sit down meals in COVID-19 Secure venues) are allowed to take place in venues or in public outdoor spaces. Weddings and civil partnership ceremonies can have gatherings of up to 30 in COVID-19 Secure venues or public outdoor spaces. Wedding receptions can have gatherings of up to 30 in COVID-19 Secure venues. Within these larger gatherings, people do not need to limit their interaction to groups of 6, but social distancing should still be followed between people not in the same household or support bubble.

Can I hold a wake after the funeral?

For many people, holding a wake after the funeral ceremony is an important part of remembering the person who died. There are different rules on whether you can hold a wake depending on where you live. In England, you can have a celebration of someone's life after they die as long as you follow the government guidance. You can have a religious ceremony in a place of worship with up to 30 people. You might also be able to have up to 30 people at a wake in a venue which has social distancing measures in place, such as a pub or restaurant. Check with the venue how many people you can have and what rules they have. But if you want to have a wake at home, inside or outside, you can only have 6 people in total.

Breaking The Rules Is Against The Law You must not meet in a group of more than 6, indoors or outdoors. This is against the law and the police will have the powers to enforce these legal limits, including to issue fines (fixed penalty notices) of £100, doubling for further breaches up to a maximum of £3,200.

COVID-19 Announcement - First Class Leisure Event & Party Hire - Non Contact Hire Agreement. This is our policy at present and still continues.

Information taken from the .gov.uk website 15th August 2020

What should I still avoid doing? It remains the case that you should not:

  • socialise indoors in groups of more than two households (anyone in your support bubble counts as one household) – this includes when dining out or going to the pub

  • socialise outdoors in a group of more than six people from different households; gatherings larger than six should only take place if everyone is from exclusively from two households or support bubbles.

  • Interact socially with anyone outside the group you are attending a place with, even if you see other people you know, for example, in a restaurant, community centre or place of worship

  • hold or attend celebrations (such as parties) where it is difficult to maintain social distancing and avoid close social interaction – even if they are organised by businesses and venues that are taking steps to follow COVID-19 Secure guidelines.

  • stay overnight away from your home with members of more than one other household (your support bubble counts as one household)

It is against the law for gatherings of more than 30 people to take place in private homes (including gardens and other outdoor spaces). Businesses and venues following COVID-19 Secure guidelines can host larger groups provided they comply with the law. This can include weddings, civil partnership ceremonies and funerals (which we advise should be limited to no more than 30 people), religious ceremonies and services, community activities and support groups. If attending a place or event that is following COVID-19 Secure guidelines, you should take care to limit your interactions with anyone outside of your group and you should continue to maintain social distancing from those that you do not live with. It is critical that you follow these guidelines to keep both yourself and others safe.

Participation in an illegal gathering could be subject to a £100 fine, doubling on each subsequent offence up to £3,200. The government has also introduced fines for those who hold illegal gatherings of over 30 people. Holding or being involved in the holding of an illegal gathering of more than 30 people is an offence, and Police may issue fines of £10,000 to those who break the law.

Please consult the local restrictions page to see if any restrictions are in place in your area. In some areas, it will be illegal to meet people you do not live with inside a private home or garden, except where you have formed a support bubble (or for other limited exemptions to be specified in law).

This is our policy at present 02.09.2020 and still continues.

This is our amended policy for gatherings, public spaces, and outdoor activities
From the 1st June - Latest changes what can I do

COVID-19 Announcement -
First Class Leisure Event & Party Hire - Non Contact Hire Agreement.

From Monday 1 June, there are a limited number of things you will be able to do in England that you could not do before:

Barbecues and garden parties allowed for up to 6 people.

Groups from different households can meet, but social distancing must be observed outside.

Spend time outdoors, including private gardens and other outdoor spaces, in groups of up to six people from different households, but following social distancing guidelines. Unfortunately you cannot social distance on a bouncy castle, therefore people from the same household will still only be allowed to use our bouncy castles at your home address. However, we do have other equipment available for hire (non inflatable), where social distancing can be applied. Example, games, skittle alley, funfair games etc. Contact us for more details and discuss options available.

At all times, you should continue to adhere to strict social distancing guidelines when you are outside your home, particularly ensuring you are two metres away from anyone outside your household.

You cannot:

Visit friends and family inside their homes
Stay overnight away from your own home, except for in a limited set of circumstances, such as for work purposes
exercise in an indoor sports court, gym or leisure centre, or go swimming in a public pool
Use an outdoor gym or playground
Gather outdoors in a group of more than six (excluding members of your own household)

We will keep updating our policy in line with government guidelines.

Government guidelines apply to every hire company and not just our company. Should any company not be following these guidelines then they are breaking the law and putting lives at risk.

This is our policy at present 20.05.2020 and still continues.
